I'm on Windows 10. Run LEMMINGS.BAT, VGA, High end PC worked for me, although the colors were (kinda) terrible. The game runs fine. Relived the times I played this on my mom's Nokia and destroyed the arrrows button.

Sometimes it doesn't start. Randomly trying to execute the .bat files usually works after some time.

When I press F1, F3 etc. my browser catches the key before so I cannot start the game.

In DOS: Try the command lemmi (for lemmi.bat). Than choose VGA.. Worked for me.

Note that the executable used vgalemmi.exe doesn't work because it's looking for the cd driver that isn't available.
so when you get back to the command prompt run vlem2.exe
