As tracked by the HighstakesDB, he is 18th on the list of biggest poker winners, having played 589,030 hands, with total cash game winnings amounting to $3,095,168. There are rumors that he is a big winner in some of the highest stakes cash games around the world.

Timofey Kuznetsov has played a lot against Viktor Blom in heads-up No Limit Hold’em at Full Tilt’s $300/$600 or CAP $500/$1000 tables.

July 2017

May-June marked a nice upswing for Viktor Blom. He decided to skip WSOP tournaments in order to focus on online high-stakes poker games — a strategy that turned out to be good for him! However, not everything went so smoothly. Timofey Kuznetsov had a couple of difficult days in a game against Viktor Blom, although he did manage to end up in the green, in the end!

On July 26, they played at $200/$400 pot-limit Omaha tables. Here Blom, having robbed his opponent for $80,000, won the biggest pot of the day.

Blom raised to $1,360 from the button Kuznetsov three-bet to $4,240, and Blom called. They saw the 2K♣4 on the flop, and Kuznetsov brought it up to $5,400, and Blom called again. The turn was the 2♠, wish meant a full house for Blom. Kuznetsov checked, Blom (quite logically) bet $12,800, and Kuznetsov called. The river was 9, Kuznetsov checked and then paid off Viktor Blom after the latter shoved $39,652. The pot worth $124,504 was sent to Blom.

Later that day, Viktor Blom’s upswing continued as he kept on winning against other players, ending up with total winnings of $490,000 for the day; this helped him get up to $1.9 million for the whole of the year 2017 up to that date. This also pushed his overall lifetime profits on PokerStars to as much as $3.4 million!

On July 27, Kuznetsov and Blom met each other at the $1,000/$2,000 8-game and played for just 12 minutes, Kuznetsov winning $14,900. Then, at the $200/$400 PLO tables, they played two tables simultaneously for about 15 minutes — Isildur1 won $29,700 at one table but Timofey Kuznetsov won $92,100 at the other. Nearly at the same time both players were facing other online pros: Trueteller — Ubersherms and Isildur1 — AmSoGood and his regular rival Raul Gonzalez, so they did not really have much time to kick each other as hard as they could.

On July 29, Trueteller enjoyed a victorious 40-minute morning session against Isildur1. Trueteller won $109,000 from just 22 minutes $1,000/$2,000 8-Game table, and then another $131,700 from 20 minutes at two $200/$400 PLO tables, altogether over $240,000.

Nevertheless, later that day Isildur1 recuperated playing at four tables against the same Raul Gonzalez, having already got himself a nice profit of $284,000.

Two Different Styles and Graphs

Like Viktor “Isildur1” Blom, Timofey “Trueteller” Kuznetsov had been challenging the best online pros at high stake games for a long time, before his true identity was finally revealed to the public. He only came out of the shadows for WSOP 2015 in Vegas!

But their playing styles are very different. Kuznetsov plays in a conservative, restricted way, while Blom can quite often be overly aggressive, and may be prone to talking unnecessary risks. This difference can be clearly seen by the differences in their graphs.

Trueteller is known to be one of the most consistent online poker players. His downswings have never been long and disastrous, and he has never gone into the red. In this respect, the career of Isildur1, who used to win and lose millions in a series of winning and losing streaks, is exactly the opposite!

Timofey ‘Trueteller’ Kuznetsov, the young Russian phenom, has been unveiled as Team partypoker’s latest star signing. Kuznetsov, 27, is widely regarded as one of the finest online poker players on the planet, and has put pen to paper with partypoker in a bid to help positively shape the ecology of the game. The capture of the Russian’s signature is an exciting moment for partypoker, adding yet another world-class player to their ever-growing stable of superstars.

For many years, Kuznetsov was simply known by his ‘Trueteller’ nickname, as he went about building a reputation as one of the most feared high-stakes cash game regulars in the world. The mask of anonymity was removed in 2015 when Kuznetsov was revealed as the man behind the mysterious moniker.

The Russian has had an absolutely stellar online career so far, amassing millions in earnings and specialising in No-Limit Texas Hold ‘em and Pot Limit Omaha cash games.

Kuznetsov will bring a treasure trove of vital experience to his new role. He’s been playing online poker for nearly a decade in many different forms, and as such will be well-placed to help partypoker with software development, shaping the site’s ecology, improving tournament schedules and evolving mixed games.

Trueteller is just the latest pro to join the formidable Team partypoker, where he’ll fit in nicely alongside bona-fide superstars of the game like Ike Haxton, Philipp Gruissem, Fedor Holz and Jason Koon.

Speaking in his new role as part of Team partypoker, Kuznetsov said: “I am excited to join the partypoker team. It’s a dark age in poker, good sides must unite. I’ve spent all of my career in social silence, it feels like it might be a time to change that. I am looking forward to using my experience of online games to help shape the poker ecology at partypoker and get involved in the new software developments.

“I also have a keen interest in working with partypoker to develop better mixed games and I can’t wait to start working on this proposal.”

Tom Waters, managing director, partypoker said: “We are delighted to welcome Timofey to the team. At partypoker our main focus is improving the game for our players and Timofey’s vast experience will be instrumental in the direction we take. We are thrilled that Timofey has decided to pledge his allegiance to partypoker and can’t wait to start working with him.”

Trueteller’s first engagement as a member of the team is the final week of the $60 million guaranteed POWERFEST, which is running until 23rd September 2018. With over $20 million guaranteed in Week 3’s tournaments, there’s still plenty to play for.
